About the opportunity:

They have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Programme Manager – People’s Place, to join them at Everton in the Community.

Within the role of Senior Programme Manager – People’s Place, you will lead on the final stages of the development of the People’s Place and subsequently to ensure effective management and performance of the facility once opened. The People’s Place will be a purpose-built Mental Health and Wellbeing Hub due to be opened in September 2022.

Knowledgeable in the area of mental health, the postholder will ensure the effective coordination of activities within the People’s Place to improve mental health of all visitors working alongside existing staff and key stakeholders externally.

This is a significant development for Everton in the Community and the first of its kind capital project aligned to a Premier League Football Club. This is an exciting and challenging role for an experienced manager who will also be passionate about developing staff, promoting sustainability and growth with an overarching focus on improving community health.

Other key responsibilities as part of this role include:

  • Be the primary lead for the People’s Place and to assist the Director of Health and Sport with the overall growth of the Health and Sport area, drive innovation, seek new opportunities for developing new programmes and play a key role with identifying and generating income.
  • Developing and leading on a steering group with key external stakeholders to provide assistance and direction to ensure the People’s Place can be the most effective and impactful it can be.
  • Overseeing all contracts and monitor project performance in terms of attaining targets and also being financially sound. This will include meeting the requirements of the funders with achieving required outputs for the People’s Place in terms of increasing physical activity levels and moving more people from inactive to active.

They are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced individual who can communicate effectively with a wide, varied audience, who has experience of managing a capital project and knowledge of key elements of operating a facility.

It is essential that the successful individual has excellent knowledge of the funding landscape and associated industry network.

This is an exciting and challenging role for an experienced manager who is passionate about developing staff, promoting sustainability and growth with an overarching focus on improving community health.

This position is on a permanent contract, working 35 hours per week working across the Everton in the Community Campus, they also offer the opportunity to work flexibly with their hybrid working approach.
