Sovini Construction deliver highly anticipated affordable homes for Liverpool


Sovini Construction, proud partners of The Sovini Group, have successfully completed the first phase of their Morris Meadows affordable housing development in Netherton, Bootle.

The Morris Meadows development which was proudly named ‘Best Affordable Scheme’ at the Your Move Liverpool Awards is part of the Group’s ambitious new build framework, which seeks to build a better future through the construction of 1,000 high-quality, affordable homes within the next five years.

The multi-million-pound scheme includes an impressive 149 properties which are set to inject new life into the Netherton community.

With a mixture of two, three and four-bedroom homes available through Affordable Rent, Rent to Buy and Shared Ownership tenures, the development is serving the housing needs of the community.

Designed by architect Condy Lofthouse for clients One Vision Housing, the high-rise apartment block was built on repurposed brownfield land.

Working in collaboration with the Group’s circular economy specialists Sovini Waste Solutions and independent merchants, Sovini Trade Supplies took a ‘fabric first’ approach through the adoption of environmentally efficient fixtures ensuring the Group’s net-zero carbon commitment is upheld.

Upon completion the affordable housing development will be maintained by facilitates specialist Sovini Property Services to ensure a focus on the reduction of energy consumption, through thermal efficiency and running costs remains viable for clients.

Their approach to social involvement has improved health and wellbeing across the local community. In total the Morris Meadows development has produced social impact accumulating to the value of £3.1M.

Colleagues from across the Group, Local Councils, Homes England, and contractors came together to celebrate the completion of phase one.
