RSM tax director receives STEP worldwide excellence award for top marks


Nicola Clough, tax director at RSM UK has received a worldwide excellence award for achieving the highest score globally in the STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) Advanced Certificate in ‘Advising the Family Business and Family Business Governance’.

The advanced certificate provides students with a practical approach to learning, using realistic case studies and scenarios. STEP’s core focus is on promoting the highest standards and professional excellence.

Nicola, who is based at RSM UK’s Liverpool office, was the top scoring student internationally at distinction level (70 per cent or above) for the exam. Winners hail from 17 jurisdictions across the globe including: England and Wales, Austria, Canada, Germany, Guernsey, Hong Kong, Italy, Jersey, Malta, Mauritius, Mexico, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland and the US.
