Mens health month discounts

Men, don’t ignore your health – act while you still can.

Men, it is time to be proactive about your health. Randox Health are offering PSA testing kits for £15 this November, the month of globally raising awareness and shedding a spotlight on men’s health issues.

For over forty years, Randox have had a focus on the provision of timely and accurate testing to identify risks to health, improving clinical diagnosis and promote preventative healthcare; aiming to achieve better healthcare outcomes worldwide.

At Randox Health, you will be provided with the tools needed to take preventative action towards your health and wellbeing. Our PSA home tests kits measure the level of Prostate Specific Antigen in blood, from the comfort of your home or in one of our Health Clinics. The measurement results can indicate abnormalities within the prostate – PSA can be highly indicative of Prostate Cancer Risk, as well as other health concerns such as enlarged prostate, prostatitis, or a urinary tract infection.

Prostate cancer is one of most common forms of cancer in men, often going undetected. Symptoms can include needing to pee more frequently, feeling that your body has not emptied fully, weak flow, and pain or burning sensations.

With the PSA test, as well as other tests provided by Randox Health – such as the Everyman, Discovery, and Signature each including a Prostate Cancer testing panel (a novel combination of serum markers aimed to stratify risk of prostate cancer used alongside a tested algorithm) you can test for your health as part of a full-body ‘MOT’.

Randox Health also provide testing for Male Hormones separately; these tests can detect if you have a hormone imbalance that could be affecting mood, energy levels, libido, or sports performance. The male hormone kits test for three key tests including Testosterone, Sex Hormone binding Globulin and Free Androgen Index to give you a comprehensive overview of your hormonal health. Male hormones like testosterone support many bodily functions and play a vitally important muscle strength and mass. Lower than normal levels of testosterone can therefore result in lack of energy, fatigue, hair loss, low sex drive and more.

After age 30, testosterone levels begin to decrease naturally. Other potential causes of low testosterone include alcohol abuse, obesity, uncontrolled diabetes, medication and over training. Whilst it is important to measure testosterone levels, our comprehensive male hormone test also measures for hormones that help to transport and control testosterone production and levels.

Randox Health’s easy-to-interpret report will provide a breakdown of your results and what they mean. With Randox Health testing you can possess the knowledge to not only understand your current health status but also unlock the power to help improve and enhance your quality of life, through the lens of preventative healthcare.
