Claire House Christmas Campaign

This year for our Christmas Appeal, we have been fortunate to have had some of our incredible families share how Claire House Children’s Hospice have helped to support them through some of the toughest times of their lives and helped to create magical memories.

We have been very fortunate that the business community have been able to spare some of their time throughout the year for a corporate volunteer day at Claire House Liverpool. We have been able to welcome 24 businesses who brought along 212 volunteers and it has made a huge difference for Claire House.

We have fundraised and held a variety of events throughout the year:

For 2023, Claire House held our first traditional lantern walk walking from Seacombe to New Brighton, with many families taking part to support Claire House and walk to remember. In addition, Claire House also held our first Claire Bear 3k fun run in Birkenhead Park, which saw hundreds of children and families take part in such an incredible day.

One of our staff members Pam is 77 years old and has been working at Claire House for over 23 years. Pam works in our fundraising team as an administrator and at the end of this month she is taking on the Halloween Abseil at Leasowe Lighthouse to celebrate her 78th birthday and to raise even more funds for Claire House. When she was 60 she did the lost Inca trail for Claire House, at 70 she did the zip wire and she thought why not celebrate her 78th birthday with an abseil!

Claire House does Strictly 2023 took place at the Titanic Hotel & Rum Warehouse and raised an incredible £71,582.00 for Claire House Children’s Hospice.

Twenty local businesses raised over £35k for Claire House Children’s Hospice by competing in the 11th Liverpool Waters Dragon Boat Race at Princes Dock. Despite the Claire House team taking part and collecting the wooden spoon in finishing last place, it was a wonderful day and helped raised vital funds for Claire House.
