Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice, Liverpool’s Urgent Appeal

Aimee Clare, Capital Appeal Lead at Zoe’s Place tells us more about how local businesses can support a £3.5 million appeal to fund a new home for its hospice.

Tell us more about the appeal?

Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice in Liverpool has launched an urgent £3.5 million appeal to raise the capital to secure a future for its children and their families by funding a new home for our hospice. We have been there for our children and their families on the same site for the last 28 years, but we now urgently need to find a new, long-term home for our vital, specialist services.

It’s our aspiration to raise enough capital to ensure that our new hospice can facilitate our current services, providing the home away from home environment that our babies and families deserve. To do this, we need to raise an additional £3.5 million, and Zoe’s Place in Liverpool is calling on our business community for help and support.

How can the business community help?

We are asking you to sign up to commit to raising at least £1,000 in 2024. Every £1000 raised by our business community will be one step closer towards a new hospice to be proud of. Can you imagine how incredible it will be to have 150 business signed up to raise at least £1,000. That will be £150,000 towards our appeal and an incredible achievement for the Liverpool business community.

We have been able to provide specialist care and support to local children and their families for the past 28 years because of the generous support, loyalty and commitment of local people. Our children and our families need the generosity of our community now more than ever, so if you are able to prioritise and support us in 2024 that would be just incredible.

How can businesses get involved?

We will be offering donors and companies opportunities to exclusively sponsor rooms and facilities within the new hospice:

  • Soft play area
  • Hydrotherapy Pool
  • Outdoor spaces
  • Snowdrop (Bereavement) Suite
  • Sensory room
  • Family residential facilities
  • Family day facilities
  • Accessible bathroom
  • Bedrooms

We are also looking for ‘Zoe’s Place Ambassadors’ who can volunteer their time to explore networks and relationships that might create opportunities or leads for support.

What makes Zoe’s Place so special for you?

Zoe’s Place was chosen since Zoe is the Greek word meaning ‘Gift of Life’.

We work to ensure that very unwell children can enjoy the best possible quality of life, supporting their families along the way. Families are understandably cautious about trusting anyone to look after their child, especially with their complex care needs; so, it is critically important that our new Hospice environment is of an incredibly high standard, fit for purpose, and has the flexibility for growth and development in the future.

I look forward to working collaboratively with our generous, kind and supportive business community. Please do get in touch if you would like to sign up to support our appeal financially or if you would like to become an ambassador. Together, we will bring hope to life at Zoe’s Place in Liverpool.
