Statement: St Helens Chamber

Following today’s news that St Helens Chamber has entered administration and has ceased trading, the Liverpool Chamber is issuing the following statement.

Alison Lobb, Chair of Liverpool Chamber said:

“We are very sorry to hear that St Helens Chamber has gone into administration.

“Inevitably, this news will come as a shock to many across the wider city region business community. The challenges facing St Helens Chamber are fairly unique in the wider context of Chambers of Commerce and I would like to reassure all Liverpool Chamber members and partners that we are not directly affected by the primary issues that have led to this outcome.

“We are in close dialogue with British Chambers of Commerce, other local Chambers and various other bodies about how we will continue to deliver our shared services and projects and ensure the businesses of St Helens have some continuity of service in the period ahead.

“Any St Helens Chamber members requiring support with export documentation will be able to use our services via an associate membership agreement with Liverpool Chamber and we will be actively considering any other ways we can offer support through our framework moving forward.”
