IDM data to power Local Loop Merseyside

Impact Data Metrics to empower fintech start-up Local Loop Merseyside’s cashflow mission

IMPACT Data Metrics (IDM), the research and data analytics innovator, has struck a ground-breaking commercial agreement with ambitious fintech company Mutual Credit Services (MCS).

The partnership–IDM’s first in the business finance sector, will see MCS, a socially-focused company, integrating IDM’s unique and proprietary Business Occupiers dataset into its innovative Local Loop Merseyside (LLM) platform.

LLM will be the UK’s first Clearing Club, providing small businesses with tools adapted from long-standing use in the banking sector to manage their cash flow and payments more effectively, building stronger regional economies.

By leveraging IDM’s Business Occupiers dataset—which tracks over 6.5 million businesses across the country with monthly updates—MCS will gain deeper insights into local business activity, enabling more precise and effective deployment of its services.

Geoff Wainwright, CEO of IDM said: “We are thrilled to partner with Mutual Credit Services to support their mission of transforming cash flow management for small businesses. Our dataset provides an unparalleled view of business locations and movements, ensuring that MCS can offer members of Local Loop Merseyside highly relevant and timely services.”

This collaboration marks a significant step forward in utilising advanced data analytics to support financial resilience among small enterprises. By combining IDM’s rich business intelligence with MCS’ innovative business finance solutions, the pioneering partnership aims to drive greater economic efficiency and stability for businesses nationwide, starting in Merseyside.

Tom Woodroof, co-founder of MCS and Local Loop Merseyside said: “Access to IDM’s robust data will be instrumental in refining our service offerings and extending the reach of our cash flow solutions.”

“With real-time insights into business activity, we can better help the Merseyside business community to thrive in an increasingly dynamic economic environment. We couldn’t be happier to announce this partnership with IDM, with whom we share a deep commitment to economic empowerment.”

The agreement between the two Liverpool-based firms underscores the power of data-driven services in enabling businesses to navigate cash flow challenges more effectively. Both IDM and MCS are committed to leveraging their respective strengths to deliver practical, impactful solutions to the small business community.
