Liverpool based Warrant Group is pleased to announce its participation in the 2025/26 Clipper Round the World Yacht Race.
The freight forwarder has joined the circumnavigation endurance challenge as the Official Logistics Supplier – and is making its racing debut with a team entry named in its honour.
As Logistics Supplier, Warrant Group will play a vital role in keeping the race moving across its 40,000 nautical mile circumnavigation that crosses the starting line later this summer on August 31 2025.
Warrant’s team will oversee the movement of race equipment and supplies to all the international stop-overs featured on the race route, including Portsmouth, Cape Town, Qingdao, Tongyeong City, Seattle and Oban.
For Warrant Group, the partnership reflects a strategic shift and an exciting step forward for the company, which has more than 40 years of experience navigating complex global supply chains.
John Gibbs, Managing Director of Warrant Group said:
“We chose to partner with the Clipper Race as we embark on a new chapter in our business, diversifying into the yacht racing sector.
“This race represents the adventure, challenge, and international scope that align perfectly with our values as a business. We are excited to be part of the Clipper 2025-26 Race and look forward to building lasting connections with the Clipper Race and its global community.”
In addition to its important logistics role, Warrant Group will also be making its debut as a Clipper Race Team Partner, putting the firm’s name into the yacht racing forum for the first time.
Bringing expertise both onshore and at sea, South African sailor Dylan Kotze has been announced as the Race Skipper for Team Warrant, where he will be supported by his First Mate Jade Golder.
Dylan, who hails from Cape Town, brings over 20 years of sailing and instructional experience and Jade, from Cranleigh, Surrey, is returning to the race following a full circumnavigation as Race Crew on the 2023-24 edition.
Dylan said:
“I’m incredibly proud to be the Skipper of Team Warrant. Beyond the sleek boat design, it’s a real advantage to have a partner that understands the challenges of global travel and logistics that will be with us every step of the way. We share the same values and know what it takes to get the job done: together, efficiently, and with a smile.”
