Liverpool SEO agency Paramount Digital has celebrated six months in its new Liverpool office with a raft of hires and the launch of a new Amazon marketing service.
Paul Terry joins Paramount as head of SEO, bringing more than 20 years experience in SEO, development and marketing as a technical director for two SMEs, where he helped build their B2B and B2C websites, across multiple sectors, into multi-million pound businesses.
Paul’s main responsibilities will be growing Paramount’s SEO offering, helping clients grow through organic search, while helping clients and the agency navigate major changes in search behaviour.
Zak Evans joins the agency as a junior Shopify front end developer, having previously worked as a front end developer at Liverpool FC, working on the Premier League champion’s in-house app.
He’s joined in Paramount’s Shopify division by Joshua Oakes, who takes on the role of front end Shopify developer following spells with well known brands Castore and Montirex.
Barry Goffett, Paramount’s director of Shopify development, said: “Zak and Joshua both bring top tier experience working with international brands. It’s an exciting time for our Shopify division. We’re actively making moves towards becoming a certified Shopify Partner this year, and continuing to help ambitious eCommerce brands scale and succeed on the platform.”
Ben Goodwin joins Paramount as new head of Amazon marketing services, where he’ll be responsible for growing the agency’s proposition across Amazon SEO, PPC and account management.
Ben joins Paramount following the sale of his own eCommerce business, and brings years of hands on eCommerce experience and success.
Finally, Rob Barker and Matthew McKeown have joined as content executives after a number of new client wins for Paramount’s content team.
David Hunter, managing director at Paramount Digital, said: “It’s been a strong start to life in our expanding Liverpool office. We’ve already had meetings with huge brands like Liverpool FC and Home Bargains. The agency as a whole has seen strong growth in the first half of the year with new client wins, as well as seeing continued growth in our current clients, particularly around Shopify development and Amazon marketing.
“We’ve been around a while now and have been through the ups and downs of digital agency life, so we know how important it is to recruit the right people and invest in the skills that will benefit our clients the most.
“We’re continuing to grow and strengthen our services for current and future clients, and we’re looking forward to seeing what comes next.”
Ben added: “I wanted to put my experience of running successful eCommerce businesses to good use in a new environment. Paramount Digital has given me a great opportunity to take control of a new department and grow an entire offering around my knowledge and experience of Amazon marketing.
“It’s been a fast start with new clients already signed up, and I feel like we’re just getting going.”
Paul added: “Paramount has been growing consistently for eight years, so I’m keen to show I can make a difference and bring something new to clients with my experience and commercial approach to SEO.”
