Paying It Forward: Supporting Local Talent Through Liverpool Chamber Partnership

Last September, we made the significant step to move our head office to Liverpool City Centre, after 32 wonderful years on the Wirral.

With this exciting new opportunity to be based in the heart of the commercial district, it felt only right that, as educators, we begin to look at how we can help address the region’s skills gaps.

This is where our strategic partnership with Liverpool Chamber comes in.

As members of the Chamber for over a decade, our move to the city centre, combined with the Chamber celebrating its 175th anniversary, felt like the perfect time to take the next step and become a strategic partner.

As part of this partnership, we will be actively involved in the Local Skills Improvement Partnership (LSIP). We are proud to work on this initiative to help Merseyside develop and grow.

One of the Chamber’s strategic membership benefits is the opportunity to select two small businesses or charities to receive a free one-year Chamber membership. This fantastic initiative is designed to help emerging organisations thrive by expanding their networks, increasing their visibility, and accessing vital business support.

Kate Hill – Founder of Lola Starr

Kate founded Lola Starr in 2018 with a vision to redefine sustainable fashion. Her first product, the 365-day dress, set the tone for a brand focused on quality craftsmanship and conscious design. Lola Starr’s mission is clear: to create high-performance, eco-friendly garments made in the UK that move with you, wherever life takes you.

Kate’s dedication was evident from the moment she joined our Adobe Bootcamp sessions. Her commitment to learning, openness to feedback, and genuine passion for her craft shone through in every interaction. She frequently shared how SquareOne’s support transformed her creative process, and we’re thrilled to continue supporting her as she joins the Chamber and expands her professional network.

Ste Devaney – The Content Room

Founder of The Content Room, Ste has built an impressive content studio from the ground up. Known for creating impactful, engaging content that helps brands tell their stories, Ste has made a name for himself across Liverpool’s business scene.

Having known Ste and his family for many years, our Managing Director Lisa has witnessed his professional growth, from personal trainer to creative entrepreneur. With his natural ability to network, connect, and create, we’re confident that Ste will maximise the opportunities available through his new Chamber membership.

Looking Ahead

At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to supporting local talent and fostering growth within our community. Through this Chamber initiative, we’re proud to champion two remarkable businesses that embody creativity, resilience, and drive.

We look forward to watching Kate and Ste thrive in their Chamber journeys, and we’re excited to see where this next chapter takes them.
