Sefton Sixth Form College celebrates Outstanding A-level results and 99% pass rate

It’s been a successful year at Sefton Sixth Form College, with students receiving their long-awaited results today after sitting their A-level and BTEC examinations this summer.

The College achieved an impressive 99% A-level pass rate, with the majority students securing grades A* to C. In 27 of the 29 A-level subjects offered, students achieved a 100% pass rate.

Students at Sefton Sixth Form College in Litherland are now celebrating having completed their time at the College and are looking forward to their next steps, be that university, apprenticeship or employment.

These results build on the College’s recent recognition as one of only two sixth form colleges (excluding 16-19 academies) in Merseyside to hold an Outstanding Ofsted grade and ranking in the top 6% of further education colleges nationwide for A-level progress.

Deborah Faulkner, Campus Principal, said:

“We are immensely proud of our students’ incredible achievements this year. Their hard work and determination have led to exceptional results, and it’s great to see so many happy faces. We are excited to see them embark on their new journeys and are confident that our students are equipped with the skills and knowledge to achieve great things. We wish them all the best for their futures.”

“At Sefton Sixth Form College, we are proud to offer a supportive and inspiring environment where each student is encouraged to achieve their full potential. We play a vital role in delivering exceptional A-level education to young people across Sefton and beyond, and these results showcase the hard work of our students and the high-quality teaching that underpins their success.”
