Thursday 9th October 2025 | Aintree Racecourse, Liverpool
Some of the UK’s most recognisable faces, including Calum Best, Linda Robson, Paige Chohan, Sheena Lynch, Lystra Adams, and Chanita Stephenson, will be heading to Liverpool this October for the SHINE Awards 2025, the UK’s first purpose-driven, alcohol-free wellbeing awards.
Partnering with Aintree Racecourse, the awards celebrate individuals and organisations transforming workplace wellbeing across the UK. Timed to coincide with World Mental Health Day, the evening will shine a light on recovery, inclusion, and mental health advocacy.
Steve Jones, Deputy CEO at Steps Together, said:
"We are excited to host SHINE 2025 following the success of last year's first alcohol-free corporate awards. These awards recognise the amazing work businesses and individuals do to support workplace wellbeing and create a healthier, more inclusive workforce. Hosted at the iconic Aintree Racecourse, the Jockey Club’s home to the renowned Grand National, this venue allows us to combine glamour with responsibility, reflecting our shared commitment to inclusive events."
Calum Best, NACOA Patron, said:
"I’m really looking forward to attending the SHINE Awards again this year. It’s a fantastic way to celebrate businesses and individuals making a real difference in workplace wellbeing, while supporting children and families affected by addiction through NACOA UK."
What to Expect:
- Red carpet arrival & alcohol-free welcome drinks
- Networking with CEOs, HR leaders, wellness champions, and celebrity guests
- Live entertainment featuring DJ Rossi (Hits Radio), Katumba Drummers & Dancers, Heswall Concert Band, and more
- Delicious 3-course dinner
- Presentation of 8 awards recognising pioneers in workplace wellbeing
- Funds raised support NACOA UK, helping children and families affected by alcohol addiction
Why It Matters:
Workplace wellbeing has never been more critical. Poor mental health costs UK employers an estimated £56 billion annually, and only 55% of workers report high wellbeing at work. The SHINE Awards showcase businesses and individuals leading by example in mental health, inclusion, and recovery — proving that organisations can prioritise people and culture over profit.
