Empowering organisations to build more inclusive, accessible workplaces for neurodivergent staff.
The Brain Charity has launched a new online training course aimed at helping employers and professionals create neurodiversity-friendly workplaces.
Developed by its experienced training team, the Neurodiversity Awareness in the Workplace E-Learning course is a 90-minute, self-paced module designed to equip individuals and teams with the confidence and practical knowledge to better support neurodivergent colleagues.
The training was co-produced with people who have lived experience of neurodivergence, ensuring its content is expert-led and rooted in real-world insight. It is the next evolution in The Brain Charity’s Neurodiversity in the Workplace services, which are currently offered in person nationwide.
Designed for HR professionals, managers, recruiters and inclusion leads, the course covers:
- An introduction to neurodiversity and how it presents in the workplace
- Understanding the challenges and strengths of neurodivergent colleagues
- Practical steps to reduce barriers, implement reasonable adjustments, and meet legal responsibilities under the Equality Act
The course uses video content, case studies, scenario-based learning, and reflective activities to offer interactive and flexible learning that can be completed in short sessions on desktop or mobile. A final knowledge check reinforces understanding, and a certificate is issued on completion.
Jane Cullen, Training Manager at The Brain Charity, said:
“We know that many organisations want to do better when it comes to supporting neurodivergent staff but often don’t know where to start. This course is an accessible, evidence-based first step that provides practical strategies and real confidence. It’s designed by people with lived experience, and it shows.”
The e-learning is priced at £28 per user for three months of access, with discounted rates available for teams and larger organisations. Bespoke options are also available, and The Brain Charity offers in-person and live online training to complement the e-learning module.
