Warwick implements major changes ahead of 2026

Bootle window and door manufacturer Warwick North West has implemented significant changes to its business as it gears up for further growth in 2026.

Following a £1m investment into new machinery early in 2025, Warwick – a major supplier to the affordable housing sector and private developers – has delivered changes within the business to maximise the potential of that investment.

Greg Johnson, who took over as managing director of Warwick in 2021, has shaken up the management team with a number of strategic changes. Greg has moved to the role of chief executive, while Phil McDonald has stepped into the managing director’s job.

Phil began his career on Warwick’s shop floor in 1999 and, before his promotion, was operations director for the firm.

Christian Donoghue has become the new operations manager, supported by Luke Latham who has taken on a hybrid role between commercial sales and junior operations manager as part of the junior restructure.

Lewis Till has also taken on more responsibility in his role as junior planning manager while James Parker, who previously worked at Liverpool Chamber of Commerce, joins Warwick’s sales team.

Since taking over the helm of the business from his father Brian Johnson in 2021, Greg has overseen a dynamic growth strategy that has pushed up annual revenues from around £5m to more than £12m.

With its windows and doors offering industry-leading levels of thermal efficiency, Warwick North West and its 120-strong team have been successful in making inroads into the social and affordable housing market.

And Greg believes there is scope to grow Warwick even further and, as 2026 approaches, he has added to the team with three new recruits to the shop floor – production operatives Caitlin Critchlow, Jamie Alty and Daniel Roberts.

These changes have been described by Greg as a “crucial phase in the evolution of Warwick”.

He said:

“Since the election of the Labour Government in 2024 there has been a renewed emphasis on housebuilding.

“Here in the Liverpool city region, local authorities, housing associations and developers are all stepping up their efforts to build new homes. Net zero and thermal efficiency are at the top of the agenda and Warwick’s windows and doors far exceed the minimum standards.

“So, we are confident demand for our products will continue to rise in 2026. We have to be ready to meet that demand. These latest strategic changes to the business but us in a great position to take full advantage.”
