Digital agency joins some of UK’s best known brands for national technology showcase
Glow New Media has been shortlisted in the Transport Technology of the Year category for this year’s prestigious National Technology Awards.
Making the shortlist means that Glow’s digital team will now join other finalists like The Financial Times and Barclaycard at a glittering London awards dinner in May.
The web design and app development agency, which has offices in London and Liverpool, has been shortlisted for its My Train Journey App – an innovative, first-of-its-kind passenger transport tool which was launched nationally in summer 2016.
The app allows rail users to call up the performance record of any requested train service from a national rail database.

“Apps like My Train Journey are crucial for the long-term sustainability of the public transport network because they vastly improve the passenger experience and so increase passenger loyalty.”
The National Technology Awards, hosted by FStech Magazine, are the showcase for the leaders of technology. The National Technology Awards were created to allow the technology sector to shine, celebrating the pioneers of new technology and to help drive standards and encourage excellence.
The winners will be determined by an independent judging panel and announced at the National Technology Awards Gala and Dinner on 17 May 2017 at the Millennium Hotel London Mayfair.
