This 3 day course is ideal for Supervisors and Management from all industries.

Introduction:
Keeping workers safe and healthy in every workplace is essential, this course focuses on the general principals of managing safely to give you the safety and health essentials that you need to keep your workplace and staff safe.
The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1992, place strict legal duty on employers to ensure that all company functions are organised, planned, managed, monitored and supervised by competent persons in respect of Health and Safety.

The IOSH Managing Safely Course is aimed at managers, supervisors, safety supervisors, including any persons with similar responsibilities (team managers, shift supervisors etc.) who manage risk and resources.


Course pre-requisites – None


Learning Aims:
• To give managers and supervisors an understanding of everyone’s safety and health responsibilities in the workplace
• To enable managers and supervisors to recognise how they can influence control and monitor risk to improve safety and health i9sues in the workplace.


What is the content of the course?
• Module 1 - Introduction and Health and safety legislation
• Module 2 - Assessing Risks
• Module 3 - Controlling Risks
• Module 4 - Understanding health and safety responsibilities
• Module 5 - Understanding Hazards
• Module 6 - Investigating Incidents
• Module 7 - Measuring Performance
There will be an assessment at the end of the course and a workplace project to complete the course competency and pass marks.


Presentation:
The training is prepared and presented by our qualified accredited safety training professionals. Presentations are enhanced by Training DVD’s, practical exercises and demonstrations, comprehensive course materials, Power Point presentations, Question and Answer sessions.


How long does the course last for?
3 days. Refreshments are provided on arrival and breaks, no lunch is provided.


What course materials will I need?
Learning materials and course notes will be supplied by us.


What qualification will I receive?
Successful candidates will be awarded the IOSH Managing Safely Certificate within 4 weeks of the exam.
